Scholarship Program Highlights
The Deal Island – Chance Lions Club awards up to (3) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who best exemplify the Lions motto “WE SERVE” and the ideals of the Lion’s Code quoted above.
Applicants must be a graduating senior with plans to attend a post-secondary college/university, a trade school or a specialized vocational program. Applicants must live in Wenona, Deal Island, Chance or Dames Quarter (21821 zip code).
Congratulations, Gracie Jo Daniels!
Gracie has been awarded a 2023 $500 Deal Island-Chance Lions Club scholarship. A 2023 graduate of Washington High School, Gracie will be attending Frostburg State University where she will study nursing. She will also be a member of Frostburg's Field Hockey Team.
Gracie is the daughter of Stephen & Jennifer Daniels and has two brothers, Doc and Dawson (and we can't leave out our beloved community pet, Scout!).
