Skipjack Race & Festival

 The Deal Island- Chance Lions Club is proud to sponsor the 60th annual Miss, Little Miss & Master Skipjack Pageant.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Deal Island Elementary School.

Admission is $5.00 for adults and children over 12.  

The Deal Island – Chance Lions Club awards a $500 scholarship to graduating Seniors who best exemplify the Lions motto “WE SERVE” 

AND THE IDEALS OF THE Lion’s Code: 

“Always bear in mind my obligation as a citizen to my nation, my state and my community to give freely my unswerving loyalty, time labor and means"

Through community partnerships with local churches, the Deal Island - Chance Volunteer Fire Company & Auxiliary, Somerset 4-H, and the Somerset Arts Council, the Lions Club offers community events and activities such as Senior Bingo, Arts & Crafts, day trips, and much more.
